10/14/14 Could Tony Stewart's actions at Charlotte impact possible civil suit?Brad Keselowski, Matt Kenseth, and Denny Hamlin‘s roles in Saturday night's post-race melee at Charlotte Motor Speedway are already well-defined.

But Tony Stewart also was involved in this particular sequence of events. After Keselowski and Hamlin had their skirmish on the track during the cool-down lap, Keselowski then ran into both Kenseth and Stewart near the entrance to pit road.

Stewart responded by backing his No. 14 Chevrolet into Keselowski's No. 2 Ford, crushing in the front end of the latter’s (Sky) Blue Deuce. That decision may come back to haunt him.

While Stewart has been cleared of criminal charges stemming from the Aug. 9 sprint car accident that killed Kevin Ward Jr., there remains the possibility of a civil suit being filed by Ward's family against the three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion.
