Agreed , it's the drivers responsibility. Under current legislation, all race circuits, permanent or temporary are classified as "work places".
So, the organizers have a duty of care to ensure it is safe.
Yes the disclaimer "Motorsport is Dangerous" but talk to insurers and WorkPlace Health and Safety, and yes it s a work place , whether you employed by Supercars or a volunteer.
So worst case , coroners court , etc etc
