Yes, but my original comment was to note how much the track had changed.
Compared to when the WSC ran there in 1989-91, the USRRC was running the original Espiral corner (Turn 1), as well as the full length of the Horquilla hairpin (then Turn 5, now outside of Turn 6).
The biggest changes though have come with the new F1 reconfiguration. Even when CART/ChampCar ran into and out of the stadium, the rest of the track was as F1 and the WSC had used when they ran there before. The new-for-2015 GP layout re-profiled EVERY corner except for the second half of Peraltada. The Turn 1-3 and 4-5 complexes are much tighter. The Turn 6 hairpin is tighter. Every one of the Esses has been made more abrupt, and therefore, in effect, tighter. And they've added that extra heart-monitor blip thing in the stadium for F1.
So, up until about two years ago, most of the original course was still intact. Now, only those three main straightaways and the Peraltada are left.
