I've got a new VW Golf with the 1.8L turbo. Its a blast to drive. Our other car is a white '99 Passat Wagon. I just got new 16" "Mille Miglia"
Cello wheels with low profile Conti's for the Passat-its road manners have been improved considerably.
As Neil said on a previous thread, I get to drive which ever car my wife will let me use. My feeling is, if I gotta drive a wagon with a child's seat in the back, at least I can have decent looking wheels.
