I got a Dell (on the suggestion from the engineer who advises me from Cosworth) E6430 i5
It has the EC card slot and for the CF cards I use a simple $7.50 USB to CF reader (works great) for my stuff I still use a serial port with (for me its two other current ECU's @ work) I have a USB to serial convertor and it works perfectly.... even on this Windows 7 Professional.
I am computer illiterate! but this machine is great 'touch wood' its been faultless and works with everything I do and ask of it, battery life is outstanding! (averages more than 10 hours).
