Malcolm Smith should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The first two rounds of the 2011 Championship took place on 10th April –
on what may well have been the warmest April race day in the 35+ year history of Knockhill Circuit.
Twenty-six competitors, several in new cars, provided great entertainment for a large crowd.

Last season’s leading drivers continued their dominance of the top places,
Andrew Smith (Morgan +8) winning both races, from John Marshall (Escort RS1600) and Stan Bernard (Porsche 911). Marshall briefly led race one but was beaten by 0.2 seconds at the finish.

Of particular note were the performances of Barry Riddell (Triumph TR8), fifth in race one, having started from the rear of the grid, and a similar effort by Matthew Gordon (TVR 3000) in race two. Fierce competition was evident throughout the entire field and promises to intensify as additional drivers join later in the season.

The next two rounds are on 30th April / 1st May.
