The point is the 1993 Diet Coke M3's didn't compete in Australia in Group A, and were not 2.0L Super Tourers in 1993...so where could you race one if you wanted to present it in it's 1993 livery?

The DTM regs until the end of 1992 were heavily Group A based though, and those DTM-spec cars were allowed in the ATCC in 1991 and 1992, hence why the Morris M3 has been allowed to compete in HTC in it's 1992 DTM livery and spec.
The 1993 changes to the M3's for the ATCC seem to be an updated aero-kit, more weight and a rev-limiter.
