I know it is a closed meeting, but on Feb 21st at Silverstone the VSCC hosts "the Pomeroy Trophy".
It is free and huge fun, sort of high speed driving tests with an inpenetrable mathematical formula designed to give modern and ancient cars a level playing field.
Where else will you see an Edwardian compete on the same circuit as a Ferrari Enzo and both be beaten by a Fraser Nash?
Members get in with their membership card, and non members who volunteer to marshall by phoning the VSCC at 01608 644777 will be equally welcomed.
Bring very warm clothes and a thermos of soup, you will need it!
