I am amazed at the amount of quality stuff in the pipeline for rFactor.

It's like F1c x10!

Aussie V8 Supercars came out at the weekend, and I've just been looking at a very interesting F1 1986 Turbo mod.

Why is Franchitti driving nearly every car? Why is he wearing a RuSport helmet?

*Nitpicking mode off*

Yes, I know, early development. Looks bloody great!

Seems realistic to me? He started off at Payton Coyne till he was replaced with the far more experienced Dennis Vitolo, managed to get a drive at Forsythe on a trial basis, before replacing an injured Papis at Rahal before racing for one round at PacWest instead of Mark Blundell on the channel exchange programme - then finally poached Parker Johnstone's seat at Team Green

Any word on a release date, before Christmas?

Just to add, in the original PTC the 1990 Jaguar XJR-12's weighed 1000kg, which made them even more uncompetitive against the turbo cars.

As far as I know they ran at 900kg in 1990 (that was the minimum weight for Le Mans, they may have been a little over), and 1000kg in 1991 (as the 3.5l cars were being introduced).

You can't poach Parker Johnstone's seat, because, man he wrecked that car sooo many times...

Because at the time the screenshots were taken I hadnt done any other helmets. Being a Scot, Darios helmet was my player selected one and therefore showed up in every car i was using.

He was wearing a RuSport helmet in a couple of helmets because i created the helmet for another project since Dario was *meant* to be in the Rusport ride for 3 races but couldnt make it.

CART 98 is a small development team. Not the full iDT squad like previous mods.

Physics demonstration (yes, i know the wheels lock too easily):

Almost.

iDT Development team is creating the Champ Car Simulation. Stand by for an announcement this week coming.

CART 98 is being created by just 2 people. We both happen to be in iDT, so its taken the iDT branding. But it is not a full on iDT effort as people think - most of iDT is working excpetionally hard on the CC Simulation and dont have time for a mod. CART98 is on hold (not cancelled) so we can put effort into a tight deadline for a CC Sim build.

Toyota Atlantics 2005 is a conversion from the F1C version which has been rotting away on our FTP. So 1 or 2 of the guys (again, small team) are working on it to release it for rFactor.

will CC Sim be a stand alone game, or a mod, or a stand alone mod like CCC?

the 1998 mod and 2005 atlantics mod is the only rfactor mods as of yet. this champcar game that wil be announced soon is unknown of what it runs off, and what seasons they are producing. the announcment should exaplin this. i think its going to be a stand alone mod maybe, or an actuall game that we have to buy for pc. still this is only what i have gathered it could be all wrong
