Then, the champion's prize, the Fangio Photo Album, will be destined to a future contest, meanwhile I'll enjoy it. Congratulations... to me! Merry congrats to Los Tuercas, which retook Forums Championship with attitude and motivation. Again took a great part to move New World Forums on the way to victory in the Two Worlds Challenge. Users can revise the accuracy of their predictions with more detail at this direction: http://perso.wanadoo.es/gp2twpc/2007GP2TWPC.zip Defined the final standings, it's turn to show the general stats of the season, a report about the progress of the forums, and the WINNING ATTITUDE ACHIEVEMENTS of our concursants of the Competition of this year. |

Ramblings about forum progressions
Ramblings about forum progressions in the 2007 GP2 Two Worlds Prediction Competition:
Los Tuercas: Even without an Argentinian regularly contesting in the series or TV broadcasts avaliable, Los Tuercas guys didn't hesitate to participate in this prediction competition. Okay, it helped the alliance with an F1 Competition held at the same forum... Roberto.R, an actual Touring Car racer like his brother Ignacio, was the best for a bunch of twenty-five contesters who entered in the year. We renown Los Tuercas again for the consistent support we gave to us all over the year. Ten-Tenths: The founder forum of F3000/GP2 TWPC could not have the number of entries by Los Tuercas, but showed great capacity of individuals who tends to be good scorers: chunterer was clearly the best, not just because was the best scorer, but the one who won more rounds on this season. Alas, their users were the most common round winners in the season. Is to note that Ten-Tenths is the forum that was the nearest to the showroom of GP2 world. GlobalF1: The rookies of last year did a respectable season. Initially showed some flaws, but at mid-season did the move to ensure a solid third position on Forums Champ, with JB-F1 as their best scorer. They still were very effective in the predictions, and it's remarkable they did the highest score in a round, made by Portugal_F1 at Monza with 14 points. With Forum Champ rules changing next year (see below), GlobalF1 has chances to do better in the future. Velocidad-TotalF1: The compact group of forumers were more compact this year, despite finishing slighly better than in 2006. The no presence of Spanish-speaking Latin Americans with results, and the few chances to follow the series on TV, make difficult to several users to get interest. Despite myself as a best scorer, Sammyed did a relatively good season based on consistency, and Mustafá Aibalababa sparkled with good results -even a championship lead- at the beggining on the season. F1Latam: Before the season, Animanganime did forfait because he considered too long the prediction form, an opinion that moved us to make a private survey about this. After all, the season still had interest from some concursants, that worked to finish on a pleasant fifth. atila1971 was the best of the pack, and Ryosuke_555 was a round winner. Thef1.com Actuality forum: Other year with discrete results with few forumers. Strangely, considering the interest shown about the series shown there. Once more, Thef1 showed technical problems on a few rounds, but were still capable to go ahead. pericu was the best again based on consistency and melendi showed promise until he left the Competition at mid-year. Nuestro Foro F1: The move of José MarÃ*a López to touring cars, the lack of TV broadcasts and the exclusive interest of forumers of Formula 1 made the presence of this forum just to... one user. Cuervitti was the only loyal defender of Nuestro Foro F1, although didn't do that bad in general individual results, where he finished in top ten. F1-Live: The forum of this popular website entered this year in the Competition, but suffered unexpectedly of lack of interest. Only three concursants entered in the whole year, even there were rounds with no contestants. Initially intended for Spanish forum only, the expansion to the English forum at mid-year helped a little, but not much more. midgrid finished as best scorer, basicly due to continuity at the second part of the season. In conclusion, the season had some disappointments comparing with the previous year, a bit of lottery on some results, and it influenced the interest on the people about the Competition. It was a great challenge to continue with it in forums that can't follow the series properly and/or didn't have any drivers to feel represented. From these lines, I pray FOM to ensure GP2 TV broadcasting in Latin America aside F1, in order to give new hopes on this part of the world. Ten-Tenths, Los Tuercas and GlobalF1, the "three greats", are ensured to continue next year; the rest will be considerered, depending what depares the future. Alas, there are options for new forums to join - If you are in a forum where is interest on GP2 Series and want our Prediction Competition running there, give notice to us! Due to spicing up the interest of forums with minor quantity of users, Forums Championship could have a change next year - on each round, a forum would score only with the best scorers of their users: could be best five, as they were an indoor soccer team, or the best two, as they were a GP2 racing team. Nonetheless, having a lot of predictors in a forum will still be an advantage, because if more users the forum has, more chances to have high scores. |

The bad weather in the final round set it all in stone really!
Congratulations Mekola! Not only on running this thing so damn well but for winning it too. This year was a hard one to get right. Congrats to chunterer for taking the ten-tenths crown too. You bugger. |

Awesome coverage and stats work Mekola, well done on winning the overall title!!
And as you mentioned in your summary, hearty congrats on that move you put on me at the Hungaroring that ultimately proved decisive in he title outcome - I faded into obscurity after that. Thanks Knowlesey for your slap on the back. I haden't realised I won so many rounds ( ). I look forward to renewing our inter forum rivalry (and in F1 which i'm now out of the running for) next year!!! |

Umm, joint 21st isn't too bad at all, especially as I missed the first round in Bahrain.
Well done on your title Mekola and thanks very much for all the hard work you have put into running the competition |
