Track and Race Car magazine
Anyone else been ripped off by TRC magazine? I subscribed to an annual subscription in early Dec and have not yet recieved a single issue. I payed by paypal who are now investigating it.
I have tried to contact P1 media, just goes through to their answer phone.. which is full! |

Its finished sorry to tell you. I race in a championship that was 'sponsored' by the mag although they never put in a penny just the odd write up. Sorry to hear you got stung.

At the Autosport show they were conspicuous by their absence and I was told by someone I know they had "demised". Called the subs department on the Monday morning to be told that they hadn't been informed of this and as far as they knew all was still well Fast forward a couple more weeks and again the expected magazine didn't turn up. And again, the subs department denied any knowledge of a problem. Made it quite clear that as I had lost out on my old CCC sub subscription, I really didn't want to go down that path again. Not many days later, I suddenly got a PayPal refund from TRC with the note: Dear Trevor, Sorry, but Track & Race Cars Magazine is sadly suspended from publishing for the conceivable future. Thank you for your support and please check the website for further news. All the best, Keith Wood Editor Now, whether I was lucky, or got a refund because Keith Wood and Andrew Brown know me (not THAT well, mind), I have no idea Having been there before, good luck |

I thought they went bust a year or so ago, or was that the preceding magazine?

last issue I got I think was the October 2009 one (found in the shops) but it was such a hassle to get to the only WHSmith of many in my area which sold the magazine, I decided I had to subscribe. Certainly there was one issue after that, but probably no more

We like to think so Tim we really do as the guys behind the mag seem like really nice fellows. If it was me however I would remortgage my house to pay back members of the public who had spent money with me as I like to sleep at night.

This is what happens when you ruin a perfectly good magazine like CCC and the publisher goes with the track day monthly
there are only so many issues of a magazine you can read containg ANOTHER Caterham 7 type car or Elise or Radical. Total lack of direction and though the new team did a good job in my eyes, IPC utterly ruined CCC many years ago by totally changing its direction when it wasnt timely or necessary |

Same problem here - paid for subscription and nothing came through., Subscription company just put me on to TRC direct and no contact.

So OK they are throughly good blokes we have established that, so what happens will they pay back all the subscription monies from those that have paid from their own pockets? I have had this only happen twice in business, when companies folded and the MD came round and settled out of his own pocket but its pretty damned rare!
