We are delighted to confirm that PHIL SHORT will be our guest speaker for this evening.
Phil is one of the U.K.’s most successful and best know World Rally Championship Team Managers, whose career has also included the role of Sporting Director for the FORD W.R.C. Team, which followed his early career as a Professional Co-Driver for some of the most famous Rally Drivers and Rally Teams in the World.
As well as continuing to be an active Motorsport Competitor in Speed Events, primarily in the North of England, Phil is now working for the F.I.A. , the World Governing Body for Motorsport, as a co-ordinator of the Junior World Rally Championship.
Phil will be telling us about the ups and downs of his motorsport career and will also be signing copies of his recent book “Hillclimbing and Sprinting - The Essential Manual” at a specially discounted price.
Additionally, Phil will be displaying his very rare Audi Sport Quattro, which is featured in the latest copy (May 2010) of CAR magazine, charting 30 years of the Audi Quattro.
The First 30 people through the door will receive a FREE COPY of this edition.
The evening will start at 8pm at our usual venue, The Aintree Suite, The Park Hotel, Dunnings Bridge Road, Netherton, L30 6YN, which is situated on the A5036, just a few minutes from the M57/M58 Junction.
