Sony memory cards have never failed on me.

Third party always do fail on me. Years since I bought one.

The ones that tend to fail most are the "compressed" memory cards that hold a lot more data than standard cards.

Agree.
Back in the GT3 days, I had one just wipe all my data, millions of $$ (whine, whine)
I will never buy a non-genuine one again.

I didn't know there were any third party memory cards. My Sony card is the one that failed me. Thankfully a friend was able to let me copy his game. He was at about 40%. It saved me a lot of headache and allowed me to stay in the WSCP at GTX.
