Team France drivers
Cochet's very disappointing showing in Mexico seems to mean his A1GP career was brief. The official A1GP website is only showing Prost as nominated for Shanghai.
By all accounts it seems Prost does not have the talent of his father. Bye bye France from championship reckoning! |

I don't think Prost wants to race this season, I've heard that they are waiting and preparing him for the new car. Afterall he has only raced in F3 so far.
He is maybe not as good as his dad (difficult), but I think he is still very very good, and everyone in motorsports like him and thinks that he is very professional. Very solid in Spanish F3, very solid at Le Mans, and now he seems to be quick with the A1. I don't know who will drive the last two races, but with Duval and Prost with more experience France will have a very solid team next season. |

I could be wrong, but I heard he was very average in Spanish F3. Team France should know what he is capable of by now anyway.

team france should pick up someone more experienced for the moment. Perera, for example.

He was doing pretty well testing ChampCars before that all fell through, so shouldn't take too long to adapt to A1 cars.

Yup, Franck more than deserves this chance, hope this gets his single seater career back under way, he will be up the front for sure.

Great to sign Montagny for the end of the season, he deserved this chance. Now France is back in contention for the championship.Prost was very strong in Spanish F3. 4th the first year, 3rd the second year. And he completely destroyed his teammates.I talked to Eric Boullier [team manager from A1 France and Dams ] about him in Mexico and he thinks he is a future great.

Ok it took him two rounds to get up to speed but he was there by the end of the Brands round, i'm not sure that he had even driven at Brands before, if he gets the drive for next year i would imagine France will wipe the floor with the rest of them.

Hmmm... Robert Doornbos was sighted at the team NED pitbox... so don't start betting on France yet

I thought Montagny was very solid and agree that if he is in the car next season he will be strong. A1GP is too competitive for anyone to wipe the floor though.
