Sato v Davidson tie for Autosport Award
Insider info says that Autosports Award for NATIONAL racing driver catagory at their awards is neck n neck between Sato & Davidson and so they are still accepting votes from readers. So if you have the 25th Oct issue of Autosport send off page 64.
May the best man win Jap or Brit! |

I've already voted for Sato I'm afraid, but its good to see that the two top contenders are from F3, and imo were the two outstanding drivers of the year.

Sato v Davidson tie for Autosport Award
You've all missed the point!...it's NOW only between the two top F3 drivers! (Perhaps our Aussi friends are right! British fans aren't Patriotic?) (Anyway how could anyone attempt to compare a mere domestic tin-top driver to an important International driver like Takuma Sato!!!) Unbelievable!

In Autosport it states that the closing date is November 12th! So surely it's down to the votes that have already come in.

My bet will be on Davidson (who i voted for)- even though Sato won the championship, Davidson is more popular than Sato (IMO). If Davidson won it would be because people are voting for a driver they like and support with a bit of National pride thrown in, not because he's proved himself to be better than Sato.
Thoughts please... |

Congratulations to Takuma Sato National Racing Driver of the Year! Proving that the British love a winner regardless of Nationality, and can recognise a greatdriver and the best formula.

Rennen,
Well said, both Ant & Taka would have been worthy winners of the award. WE were lucky to have seen two very strong performances from these drivers this year. |
