Tony Cochrane & #10 - No Love?
Someone please tell me if I am wrong but a friend that attended the V8 gala dinner said that Tony Cochrane said nothing about 10 during the night??
Apparently Wayne Cattach made a presentation but if Cochrane is the boss, surely he should have said something. Love or hate 10, they at least deserve that. Just shows that Cochrane has no class at all. He wants v8s to be a mainstream sport but no other senior person from a major sport would be so unprofessional after a 10 year relationship. The man is a embarrassing to the sport. |

thats your opinion.
There are lots of other things to bag TC about and I dont think this is one of them. No need for every one associated with VESA to say the same thing. |

he was always the one doing the talking when they did the new deals with ten (and 7) so where was he now.
After 7 lost the AFL, the ceo AND chairman were very public in their thanks for 7s contribution. they did afl a lot longer but it shows the difference in professionalism and cochrane is an amateur in that department. |

i dont hate anyone. i just think he has been extremely unprofessional in this instance and it just shows the gap between v8s and mainstream sports and why he is not respected by the big sports and for good reason - he is a cowboy.

Hmmm, well, no - I think back, and TC has NEVER said a good thing about 10....
Most other CEO's have said somehing about their telecast providers.... Is TC arrogant or ignorant? That is the question... |

And come to think of it, Ten always gave Vesa a cringe worthy kiss on the arse during the logies when they won the sport telecast award. Business is about partnerships and mutual respect, does such a thing exist with TC. |

and 10 sold advertising to make their money ... look at the whole picture instead of picking on TC and VESA all the time.
Both are businesses and should be run as such. VESA put their product up for tender ... 10 won the tender for 10 years and I'm sure they did it for business reasons not to be nice!!! |

this is a bit petty he forgot to say one thing big whoop, he has done a few things wrong but it cant be all that bad look where the sport/business was before it became V8 Supercars, and i am sure if Cochrane was that crap i don't think the sport/business would be where it is today, i think he has done a pretty good job but thats my opinion. Just a poster suggested he was seen in a rival teams office, supposedly leading to a drive.
Some people out there believed and it got back to him. In an off comment he said that all internet forums should be banned. |
