Hi dino 27 welcome. The best advice is to get yourself to some race meetings and just ask questions.Racers are allways very chatty .Where are you living we can let you know what races are on and where. Good luck.

The cheapest formula is Fvee or FFZetec
You need to decide what you want to race and where. You can buy a complete RF99 FFZetec for £8K that could win Mono1800 and FFZetec in F4 (750MC). Engines last forever and are "proper" modern single seaters. My Guess is a good Fvee wouldn't be much more. FF1600 - good RF90 91 92 is £10K+ but won't have a good engine for that expect to pay £13.5K+ for something you could win in but if you are starting racing an RF90/91 would be a good car. All are very different cars and different races/racing |

Gilad, I'm sure you won't go far wrong if you rent a Formula Vee for your first test and race, whatever you choose to do afterwards. And F 4 is often on the same bill so you can check out FF zetecs at the same time. Even ex karters like Alistair Sim use Vee to get their first signatures.
The Vee crowd are very novice friendly and unless you are up in the top 10 out of the box you will almost certainly get two races, a heat and a final, out of your entry fee. They have an excellent forum at veecentre.com FF Kents are considerably faster, technically much more advanced but cost more and believe me if it's your first race at Brands you really won't notice whether you're lapping at 50secs in a Kent or 53 secs in a Vee.... |

Hi.
There is a wide range of good cheap formulas out there and they really are cheaper than may think. If you want to do Formula Ford then club racing is good or the classic 1600 class. look on this site below, they list the championships and provide details on how much each championship costs. http://www.racingperfection.co.uk/Ch...20Landing.html |
