Helms should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Radical Racing

Greetings
i just wanted to see if anyone could supply some info about club level Radical racing?
I have seen a few pages (on here) saying that you can pick up a club level car for around £6k and race on a similar budget to that of BARC Renault.

I just wondered if anyone can point in me in the right direction to do some reading up on this, as when i've searched online all I am seeing is cars for £15k plus...

Thanks all

Andy.

i think 6k is a bit low...8k is more reasonable, the 2 main sites ive seen them on are www.motorsportads.co.uk and www.racecarsdirect.com also theyre on the fast road and track website. you will get an 1100cc clubsport for around 8k, a prosport for about 12k an sr4 for around 15k. the cars are cheeper with the kawasaki engines in rather than the hayabusas, because they have a bit less power, however the rubuild costs are cheeper and if you nacker one completely they will be a lot cheeper to replace.

depends on what you want to do, there are varioua series you can race in, the club radical championship, 750mc bikesports, rgb, local sports/ saloonn championships. check out the 750mc, brscc, barc websites and they will have different championships on there, also if you want to stick to a regionn or 1 track check out their website...also email radical uk or google radical racers, see what they think

thanks mate, i was thinking that radicals might be good as mentioned by someone else, you can give rides to sponsors so thats pretty cool really!
Ideally i would go F-Renault in BARC but have to wait and see.

thanks for your help.

Andy.

Don't buy a Radical my friend they are terrible cars IMO. You'll pay a lot of money for a lot of mig welded scrap. The only advantage they have is that they are two seaters so ideal for getting instruction and or passenger rides. Aside from that they are pretty terrible.

Mig welded scrap .... oh, just like a Formula Ford then!
