Who Will Be Colin's Co-Driver in '03.
Colin McRae does not have a co-driver for next year's World Rally Championship in a Citroen. Derek Ringer was the likely candidate, but hadn't decided yet. So what's your thought on this dilemma and which co-driver will be on Colin's side next year?

I think if Sainz retires, Louis Moya ought to get the job. I'd pay money to hear the in-car alone!

But Moya probably is this fast only in spanish.
But now I had the names! Real veterans both: Fred Gallagher and Ronan MacNamee. Last edited by 429CJ; 19 Nov 2002 at 18:06. |

He was testing at Citroen with Derek Ringer the other day.
If he wasnt sure I would have thought he would be doing 'interviews' with other navigators as soon as possible... |

Amongst all the headlines about Carlos Sainz, it's pretty much being missed that Derek Ringer was confirmed as Colin McRae's co-driver for 2003 on Monday too.
Whether that means all of 2003, or most of, or some of we'll have to wait and see. So good luck to Derek for the new season (resisting the urge to say that one way and another "you might need it" ) |

I still think it would have been fun to hear Luis Moya reading pace notes in Spanish ... can't you imagine the conversation in the car?
Anyway we should start a pool as to how long Ringer will last. |

Leave Colin alone! I think we have given him enough stick...
New season new co-driver new car - i am going to be supporting him this season. I reckon he could win the title if the car is good enough. Got this funny feeling in my tummy. Last edited by DavidStHubbins; 18 Dec 2002 at 13:47. |
