O'Schumacher should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
1995 was the best by a long shot. Just look at the list of drivers who won races:

John Cleland
James Thompson
Alain Menu
Will Hoy
Rickard Rydell
Tim Harvey
Paul Radisich
Kelvin Burt

Not only does this represent a high class of driver, but the excitement was unimaginable.

When I think of John Cleland's double move on Hoy and Thompson at Silverstone, Charlie Cox's huge Thruxton shunt, and a hugely memorable and popular Championship winner in God himself (or John Cleland as he's more commonly known) I can't believe how the championship has degenerated.

Still, it look to heading in the right direction to re-create the glory days.

Something between 1994 and 1998. Any later and the fields got too small. Am tempted to say '95 for the reasons highlighted in the earlier post.

1998 really was an excellent season. Great drivers, great races and in my opinion a great overall winner. Oh and who can forget the attempted fisticuffs between Rydell and Reid?

I've got to be biased and say 1995 because of a certain Mr Cleland winning the Championship. 1998 was also great because it was the first year that I went a little bit crazy and decided that rather than doing two or three meetings a year I was going to do as many as possible.

None. No one could have posted in the 1993 season, because the forums were not invented at that time!

Any of them because they all had their good points (though 1996 was a bore to me)

1995 was excellent because of Rydells neat reverse parking at Snetterton!

1995 was my choice as well, but several of the others are great. Interesting to see that the ones people haven't chosen are 1996 (Biela dominated), 2000 (Ford dominated) and 2001 (Vauxhall dominated), as its always more exciting to see a variety of cars. As another question, how do you guys think 2002 compares? I'd put it behind 1995 and 1998, but probably ahea dof the others.

2002 really is a great season i think! I agree not as good as 95 or 98 but its definitely working that way and next year will probs be a classic! Mind you this one hasn't finished yet......

2002 has been pretty good, with close racing and big grids. Definately better than last year, but no match for the mid-90s.

Well I think 1993 was pretty decent and I don't know why it's not counted!

But 1998 and 1995 were the best from that list.

The best was 1992. I've no idea why that's not included - maybe that's just the nature of multiple choice?!

Id say 1994 and 1998 were the best for panel-bashing, which lets face it, is what made the class popular. The wet races in 1998 were fantastic-El Nino should occur again! 1994 was the year i went to the most races, so i remember that year with fond memories. Plus it had Tarquini's off at Knockhill, the Grand Prix pile up AND Hamish Irvine-the legend himself!

El Nino is occuring at the mo apparently! It happens every so many years... - don't want to many wet races though, I have never got as wet as I did at Silverstone when Aiello won the championship...

Thats sure was a wet race, but it was worth getting soaked through just to wave goodbye to John Cleland! 1998 F1 and BTCC races were often wet, and produced great racing, at Spa and Donington respectively.

1998 simply had all the right ingredients to make a great championship although I would have liked to have seen Nigel Mansell do the full season.
Donnington Park 98 was without doubt one of the greatest races ever seen.
