Supercars in British Rallycross (Missing)

Just wondered where a few of the Supercars are that have raced in the mid 2000's now?
I know some of them but thought i would make a list and see what comes up.
Peugeot 306 Andy Scott.
Citroen Xsara JMC
Citroen C4 George Tracey
Peugeot 206cc George Tracey
Escort cosworth John Haffey
Ex Binks Fiesta
Chris Langley Escort
Mike Manning Puma
Tony Bell Toyota
I'm sure I missed some so feel free to add to the list and ask!
Interested to hear who knows what.

Was just searching the forum for info on the Binks Fiesta after it got mentioned in the GRC thread!

According to a post by AlamakiRX last year...

http://tentenths.com/forum/showthrea...ta#post3146269

...Tony Bardy bought the Doran/Binks Mk.6 Fiesta?

Mike Manning used the Puma at Croft last year for the Grand Prix, but think Larry Carter mentioned in the commentary that was going to be Manning's last Rallycross as he has gone hill climbing

The McClusky Xsara, went to George Tracey, and Pat Doran used it at Lydden for the opening round of the British in 2012

Andy Scott still had the 306 at Croft last year, and ran demo laps with it at Loheac

George Tracey still has the C4 and the ex Hansen/Mccluskey Xara one of which is still damaged by young Tracey, 6R4 he still has and I believe, the 307cc is still with Per.
Had a conversation with a couple of Irish Rallycross folk over for a motorsport weekend at the IMG Rallycross Champs regarding GT Some interesting tales and my lips are sealed! Completely forgot Snr Doran used the xzara at Lydden BRC also where is the Joranli/Evans Opel?

Doesn't Mr Bardy have a lot of these cars in his possession for various reasons?

The Binks Mk6 was sold to him that is for sure. Not sure if he was going to break it for the parts or sell it whole. Sadly as is often the case with SuperCars the parts are worth more when broken up from the shell.

Didn't Langley convert his Escort to 2WD with plans for a Fiesta/Focus at a later date?

One I would add to the list would be the Focus of the guy (sorry can't remember his name) who has the ex-Hopkins RS1700T and fell out with the Doran's. Firstly, why not bring the ex-Hopkins car out in the original livery in Retro - very cool. Secondly the Focus was an Open Championship stand several years back but don't think it ever ran......

Lots of cars with folk with no budget to run them......

Bob Gooding is the fellow, recall seeing the build of the focus, issues as mentioned and finances I think?

Would love to see the Gooding Escort, back in Trevor Hopkins Shell Oils colours, given we have lost so many cars from the era, like the Welch Escort and Astra Escorts.

Does Mike Endean still have the Schanche/John Smith Xtrac?

Did any of Dimi's cars survive other than the Lotus, anyone know what happened to the ex-Wurz Quattro or the S1?

And talking of retro, the programme from Lydden, mentions a possible Classic Hot Rod v Retro Rallycross event. Is there any news on this, given its Hot Rods big Birthday year.

Bob Gooding lives about 5 miles from me.
Both his cars are in the back garden, the Escort is ready to go I think but the Focus was never touched after being on the stand.
The escort was for sale at one point for alot of money.

I believe Terry Maynard has an ex-Dimi Quattro but it won't be raced. Perhaps static display at Croft? He also has an Esprit (ex-Betteridge)

Yes Endean has the ex-Schanche car that started it all

Was the Betteridge espirt ex Dimi? I'm sure I used to know, but have forgotten!!

The Maynard Espirt was at croft last year for the gp, and has been at the festival of speed, but it's in rally trim, and a colour scheme I don't recognise from Rallycross. Only remember the esprit being black with castrol I think, in the Dimi days.

Do you know if the Quattro is the ex Wurz A2, or the Sport?

What about the ex Binks evo, that Gareth Wood used at the Grand Prix in 2011 is that still around?

The Esprit has had a V8 of some kind dropped in it for some reason, and Terry was at Stoneleigh with it, didn't know he had an Audi too, too valuable to rally I imagine

Not sure about the C4 but i know the Xsara is there, it was out in 2012. There is a few stories knocking about alright but you know us; Lips sealed!

If i remember correctly that was apart of a two car buy ? Evans afaik got the better of the two cars, it spent a while getting worked on, appeared out for some IRC/BRC/ERC events and then disappeared. I had heard that the second car was gone, not sure to where and no way to confirm that. As for the finished astra, only tony can say for certain.

Derek's car is the old helmut holfeld car; I think John Haffey's car is different again ? Seem to remember the two racing at the same time some years ago after john came back to rallycross briefly.

Derek now has the binks evo afaik so the escort could be gone.

I was up at Terry's last week and no Audi there.
The V8 in the Espirit is a Buick motor

The Tracey 6R4 is in Wales.
Didnt Bardy buy an Astra Supercar too?

I must have mis heard re Terry and the Audi. Maybe Shirley can jump in as I thought I heard it at the retro meeting at the test. Maybe it was all just wishful thinking!

Is Tracy's 6R4 in rally or rallycross spec? Also George did have a 206 in rally trim that he used to promote the first Rally Ireland.

I understand a chap called Rick May brought the ex Andy Grant escort and it is now being used in the Quaife Motorsport News championship.

They are, there's a thread on here somewhere of who owned the Escorts.
And yes Haffey the ex Squibb and the ex Doran at different times.
