Xenogamy gone & new calendar
Wow Xenogamy didn't last long. The clubmans calendar has been scrapped & it is now running alongside the BRxC
It looks like we've stepped back a few years, but perhaps it's not a bad thing, it proves we all must listen to each other. If we can all pull together and learn from the mistakes made it's onwards and upwards. |

BRDA & BTRDA amalgamation (nearly!)
Received from BRDA this morning - précised slightly -
The BRC will continue to offer classes for Supercar, SuperModified (including Modified), Stock Hatch and Junior (in Minis). Entry fee £200. The Championship Registration fee has been dropped. A new initiative proposed by the Drivers' Group allows a car to be entered for both the MSA BRC and BTRDA sections of an event. The car could be driven by the same driver in both or by two different drivers and represents excellent value for money. Entry fee £275 for both. The BTRDA Clubmans Championship will offer classes for SuperModified (including Modified), Stock Hatch, Minicross, Junior (in Minis) and Stage Rally cars. Entry fee £150. The 2005 MSA British Rallycross Championship Round I 28th March Lydden Round 2 24th April Mondello Round 3 30th May Knockhill Round 4 3rd July Anglesey Round 5 24th July Pembrey Round 6 29th August Lydden Round 7 25th September Wildtracks Round 8 October to be confirmed BTRDA Clubmans Rallycross Championship: Round I 6th March Croft Round 2 28th March Lydden Round 3 30th May Knockhill Round 4 3rd July Anglesey Round 5 24th July Pembrey Round 6 29th August Lydden Round 7 25th September Wildtracks Round 8 October to be confinmed |

Good news indeed. They've taken care to make sure the separate meetings don't clash too.

With both the btrda and brc running together on the same day are we not going to run in to the same old problem of running out of time ? With only 2 heats and only
A finals ? If this is the only way to save the british we will have to live with it..... See you all at Lydden..... |

It is great to see that JH and the BRDA have come up with a very workable answer for 2005. If only we can get the RSS / Minicross back into the fold the sport has a chance.

Looks much better indeed. So it's just £90 membership and £200 fee for BRDA? Much more sensible stuff indeed. Anyone know how many rounds to count towards the BRDA?
Have the BRDA posted details to drivers about these new plans? |

Things are indeed looking up. Has common sense prevailed and voices listened to at last?
Lets hope that the 65 minimum entries are achieved. Should do. Croft has about 50 + for this weekend so the BRDA rounds should manage 65. |

Yes, well done BRDA. Good to see common sense prevails! Anyone know what happened with Xenogamy... was it 'mutual consent'?
Interesting to see how they work out the joint dates - presumably they won't run two seperate events, just run seperate finals for the fastest BRDA and BTRDA runners in the heats? Guess there could be some anomolies - a faster BRDA driver might pay £50 extra and not get a final while a slower BTRDA driver could pay less and qualify for one... Anyway, good to see some positive news! Last edited by leonidas; 28 Feb 2005 at 16:38. |

Just to clarify, it is intended to run two separate events on the day, i.e. if you enter both MSA and BTRDA parts you will get 6 heats and at least two finals.
The sums have been done on the number of races that can be achieved within a day. |

Sounds good to me.
Six heats and maybe two finals for £275. Lets just hope all the machinery holds together for the extra races. From the spectators point of view 'couldn't be better' more races for your money. See you all at Lydden!! |

Surely the liscence would be for the whole day though, so is it just a case of using the liscencing to keep less experianced drivers out of MSA, or am I missing something.
is there cost/administration differances to running a nat a to a nat b event? I am in no way negative just wondering! |
