Gerben24 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I thought the name of this thread was agreed a little while ago, was it not in Barcelona thread?

Seems like this will be another Glastonbury festival (i.e. lots of rain, but still a party). Unfortunately, I can't go .

The local weathergirl is predicting 90% chance for rain on Thursday, 70% for Friday and 50% for Saturday.

Looks like more bad luck for Rossi. This was supposed another track for him, but when it rains it seems like the Aussie-Bridgeboys (Vermeulen, Westy, Stoner) have an advantage.

Also Edwards seemed to be back in Donington! Maybe he can finally win in the wet at Assen...

Assen, Sachsenring and Laguna Seca will be most interesting. None of the three would be called a horsepower track.

Jeremy Burgess says the Yamaha has all the qualities, well almost all. A Yamaha has been on the front row every race. They are pushing the factory for a bit more power so they are not so easily overtaken. Source: Cycle News.

I would be that they are leaning on Michelin pretty hard as well.

Rossi's British GP was spoiled by the drying track destroying his tyres - Jeremy B won't allow that to happen twice. If it stays wet (or dry) for the whole race expect Rossi to be right up there. I also think Nicky Hayden will finally feature in the top 5.

Jeremy Burgess can't control the weather, as far as I'm aware. Tyre selection and management is always a gamble in those situations.

Ironically, the wet races haven't been as close as the dry ones this year. Someone usually seems to disappear at the front in the wet, usually down to Bridgestones.

Regarding the thread title, what is Dutch Moto GP? This must be different from what I've been watching. A Stoner in Holland?

"Hey everyone! I'm dutch, isn't that wierd?"

With the weather here as it is now, I think they will. More rain...

Yamaha to run special livery:

well we know how well Aussies go in the wet so maybe what could of been at donington i hopefully might get my wish of an Aussie white wash of the podium.

Elias broke his leg in FP1.

Who'll Honda get to replace him in the next few rounds?
Akiyoshi, Ukawa or someone else?

I hope Elias gets better hospital treatment than Mick Doohan did when he broke his leg. They were going to amputate it!

I see Bradley Smith is injured too.

Hayden is back on form! Thank you Honda. Perhaps it would have been better to have two competitive bikes from the first race? Ok Ducati, step up and give Capirossi some support!

Makoto Tamada P6?

That was Doohan his own fault. He took the risk to operate, where the doctors really didn't want to.

I saw Bradley Smiths accident as well. Very strange. He was riding slowly, just outside the racing line in the fast left hander before the final chicane. Iannone clipped him when he passed him at full speed.

Is West already injured???? I heard he had a crash as well.

EDIT: I just read he was able to continue on his 2nd bike.

well Casey seems to have picked his race tyre already, the hardest one he set his time on it and they know it will last the distance as long as it keeps him in the game early in the race.

Unfortunately, I think the weather will muck this one up again. Too bad, because I think this one could be a cracker in the dry.

More likely it'll be someone who isn't already fighting for a title. Is Ukawa their main test rider, or is there anyone else in the background?
