Congrats to Tyler on a strong weekend. I know he didn't even expect to be racing, so hopefully he can put together the funding to keep his championship run going. He was always impressive in karts.

Also congrats to Bianca Steiner in 4th for race 2 Btw, after the 1st races of all the Formula Renault championships this season, it's the Swiss Championship that has the most entries - 31, with Nico Muller dominating this weekend from German rookie Thiemo Storz.

The promoter should do something, it's been a club grid. The new Formula 2.0 Light has much healthier grid.

Interesting addition to the field at Spa; Eddie Cheever Jnr for Jenzer, son of course to former F1/Indycar driver Eddie Cheever. He finished race 1 in 10th place. Only 16 drivers on the grid, unusually small for Italian Formula Renault. Any reason for this? Italian F3 could be one of the reasons I guess.

Several of the drivers race in both Italian and Swiss FR, the latter series has swollen grids this year.

Entry fees and partly circuits The Swiss championship is much cheaper, has some great circuits... so it's normal. The Italian only has the name.

Yeah, Zoel is progressing very steadily in his 1st year, clear championship favourite for next season. The Russian, Zimin also looks quite fast and wild in testing, but lost speed this weekend.

Is Eddie Cheever's son still competing this year? I know he raced at Spa but I haven't kept up with this championship this year.

Yep, but Eddie senior was in the States, so not much input from his father... I guess he will continue next season too,
