And if we're talking endurance races:
888/Briggs: Rickard Rydell, Matthew White, Jim Richards, Simon Wills, DJR 18:Steve Ellery, David Brabham, Jason Bright, Cameron Mclean |

Does this include testing as well?

Slack thing to say I know but from the outside,I thought DJR have been testing for a few years now.Hopefully they can start racing this year, provided the right bits fall into place.

Well DJR have quite a few major signings happening on the technical side, so perhaps, if given their own way, the team might actually improve in this regard.
Having said that, I seriously doubt the 2 2004 signings have the capacity to develop the race car. The magical question may be what happens if the highly rated technical team decide the 2 racers are not conforming to requirements.... do they have the authority to bin one or both, or drag in a tester who actually has a clue? Could DJR be the first Supercar team with a fulltime tester to set the cars up for the 2 drivers? |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but back in the Fred Gibson/Wynns Commodore days, didn't the team have to drag in Thomas Mezera to sort out the car for the team's two young drivers?

When Darren Hossack and Darren Pate were driving... the cars got a little better thanks to Tomas, but engine power was just as deficient as chassis setup

Had nothing to do with the Yokkie tyres and useless data the team had as a result of years of "development" did it.Drivers were no doubt a factor but control tyre glossed over a lot of problems when Richo and Murf joined the team.

Yokohama tyres with no lateral grip, meaning no corner speed, and a real wonky setup to try and straighten the corners
Even when Wynns/Kmart came aboard, the cars were good not great... |
