GP2 Asia Testing

I visited Dubai race circuit for some of the testing. Pretty relaxed affair, and I managed a few photos. I guess I may get told to put them in the photo section, but here few are anyway..

Grosjean quickest.

Some interesting results there - Grosjean, Valles, Soucek look quick already which is good. Good to see Meritus already going well, and Bonanomi proving he deserves more than just an Asia seat. Herck and Puglisi look more useful than I anticipated. This will probably mean nothing in the long run though!!

I see Buurman is in Arden car but I suppose that is just because Khan has A1 commitments.

Meritus have a very cool looking livery. I hope Yoshimoto can get the results.

Been looking at the pics on the GP2 site. Some new liveries there - although I don't know if this is just for the Asia series only. Minardi are a lot more blue (as shown by first pic on here), but Trident have a white, black, orange thing going on, and Campos are very white now, while ART have reverted to white and blue and minus Red Bull sponsorship

FMS look similar to the new DAMS, while Arden, BCN and Super Nova look same old, same old. Full marks go to DPR though - that livery looks awesome, especially head on. I shall most certainly be supporting Soucek this season (not just for the livery though

Something just occured to me.

Many (including myself), have put Hanley down in our predictions competition.

But...Nunes appears to have taken his place in testing. Is he not competing in GP2 Asia?

I think we've made a mistake somewhere....
