BRSCC F3

Club F3 has been rebranded for 2009 as BRSCC F3
So it will be The BRSCC F3 Championship.

Note that championship status has been regained.

I'm not convinced, plenty of people might be put off by the BRSCC "brand"!

The BRSCC was always in the title Andy, just the 'Club' has gone.

Aaron Steele also became the sixth and final nomination for the prestigious McLaren Autosport BRDC Award, good luck to him

Mean while a past champion James Winslow has won another championship, Australian F3 2008, think that makes 5 in 5 countries

Agreed, the 'club' title didn't do it any favours and needed to go. However 'BRSCC F3' somehow sounds like it is missing another word or something - just seems too short!

Am I the only one who thinks BRSCC F3 just sounds too short? How about BRSCC National F3 Championship?

But because no one will want to say B R S C C F 3 every time they refer to that championship, they'll just stick to calling it ARP or ClubF3 anyway, as it's easier/quicker to say. If people are very lucky they'll call it Edge F3, but I don't see it catching on myself.

Thats my point about calling it BRSCC National F3 - it would more than likely become known as 'National F3 or National Formula 3'. People just don't refer to championships as BRSCC anything do they diz?

I must admit, I quite like the "Club F3" tile - it expalins the series perfectly, F3 racing for the club driver, what could be simpler & more accurate?

Not to mention forced use of expensive fuel, amongst other things, as well an elitist attitude displayed by some of the senior members. Yes I have been reading their own forum too!

I think BRSCC F3 is a good name, it does what it says on the Box. Formula 3 championship run by the BRSCC.

Monoposto, what's that if you don't understand Italian?

F4, what's that? mini F3 cars?

No offence intended to either Mono or F4 but it makes the point.

It stands for Automotive Racing Products; essentially fastener manufacturers.

Funny how Derek, who can only afford to race in karts apparently, has so much to say about Mono, CF3 and F4. Anyone would think he was pretending to be someone else for some reason.

That's a strange way to treat a sponsor, not telling potential customers who they are !!
They are the company who supply the top of the range rod bolts, and any other bolt for that matter.

I have run a car in Club F3 this year for the first occasion and came into it with much the view expressed above but did so because it was something that was on the 'needed to do' list. However I have to say the experience has been an excellent one. Oustandingly good organisation, friendly & helpful people and good racing.

This coming season will be my forty fourth of running race cars and have been fortunate enough to do so in everything from SEMSEC Lydden to EuroBoss. I am often puzzled at how much animosity and bad will there is between different series. From my perspective it is like beer none of it is bad some is just better than others.

There is nothing more pleasurable than mid week testing when you should be at your nine to five job whatever the Series/Championship. It is all motor racing and there should be tolerence of others from all of us.

I thought a forum was the place to express opinions. I notice there are 16'349 threads (at the time of my posting) on F1 so many people have much to say about that championship. Does Tristan think they are all posts from Jenson Button pretending to be someone else?

I race karts but I am a keen follower of motorsport and often watch all sorts of single seater races. I also have some friends that race Locosts and others that race in FPA. I wish I had the money to race cars (like many people) but don't see why someone else should object to every post I make just because I can't afford to race in their series.

Who is Tristan Cliffe anyway? I goggled him and all I found was his own website moaning about all the drivers he races against and lots of excuses why he never wins anything

Guys will you all please calm down and behave. I don't want to start dishing out naughty boy points or deleting posts, but will do if you don't stop bickering. Please lets get the thread back on topic and act like adults.
