I just can not see the sense in denying Jerome his two points for pole on top of a 10 place penalty! He drops 10 places that should be enough of a penalty its not like he could do a low fuel run like f1 to get pole and soften the blow of a 10 place drop. Also the penalty is a 10 place drop not a 10 place drop and -2 points so why effectively increase the penalty depending on where he qualifies? Just dont agree with that im afraid.

It's a smart move to decide the championship with the 1st race :P

Today's race is on at 22:00hrs tonight on Eurosport 2, Race 2 is on at 18:30 on British Eurosport 2 tomorrow (and is followed by the 2nd Porsche Supercup race, if anyone's interested). Though we don't get to see the races live, unlike our European equivalents, we should get to see all the races in 16:9 (widescreen). |

Once again very disapointing week-end for Meritus Racing.
They have 2 decent drivers (Marco Bonanomi and Alvaro Parente) and still cannot manage to perform well. |

I wonder if that was the last time we'll see the good old, first generation GP2 Dallara's in action? If so, at least they had a decent send off with some old school GP2 racing.

Season 3 of GP2 Asia will start in Abu Dhabi according to the Meritus team so probably not .
"This shows the potential of the team and we cannot wait for a third season to start in Abu Dhabi the last race of the season for F1." |

Did I read on 10/10ths earlier in the season that Meritus' press releases are generally rather over optimistic?
