CSCC Snetterton 10th/11th April
I would wish to express the sincere appreciation from the team in Race Control to everyone who contributed to making this weekend work so well, to all the marshals, recovery, rescue, medical teams and of course the brilliant Snett MSV staff - a really big Thank You!
Hope you all enjoyed the meeting as much as we did, with the excellent grids, superb variety of cars and superb racing combined with plenty of Snet Sun! To Joyce & Brian - great job with the safety car over the weekend - great to meet up with you and to work with you. Many thanks to all the competitors for providing so much entertainment throughout the weekend and for their co-operation with making the tight timetable work so well. Terry |

Yes, thanks everyone; sorry I bent your car a bit DaveGT6 (are you going to change moniker to DaveTVR?) ... it'll polish out I'm sure...we made up for it a bit in the Swinging Sixties race however with a 2nd overall!

Hi Colin,
Glad you were ok, I was the guy in green from the rescue unit who ran towards you and shouted to keep still. Hope I did not frighten you. We had a look in your car and the bar that runs across the door is what saved you from our view. It looked bad as we drove behind the pack. Fieasta did not come off that well either but driver was ok too. Hope to see your car out again soon. RS |

Great weekend, many thanks to CSCC.
Great grids, lots of veriety, lots of fun. Thanks to Jerry and the crew. Quiet day at Riches on Saturday, thankfully. Bit more to do at Sear on Sunday, apart from battle against the cold wind, and ofcourse the mandatory Snetterton oil slick. Thanks to Terry, Dawn, Colin & Lesley. |

To Joyce & Brian - great job with the safety car over the weekend - great to meet up with you and to work with you. Was good to meet up with you also Terry, at last putting a name to a face. Thanks for the praise, alhough we did very little except eat chocolate biscuits!!! (And find a few Ferraris chasing us a couple of times!). As Brian said, a brisk pace for them was nearly flat out for us!! Last edited by Joyce George; 13 Apr 2010 at 09:12. Reason: spelling mistake |

Andrew I wish my camera had been pointing rearwards as I never really knew what had happened but the dent in my rear panel isnt just a passing scrape where I got turned round so Im guesssing another accident was happening alongside.
I cant really comprehend how the Fiesta managed to smack me in the door as I was about off the track at the time. Bl**dy unlucky twice in as many seconds I think! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_7tJYYdPzE |

Colin how is your leg now? After seeing your footage it makes me even more sure of what I said to you about what I thought happened, but as I said I don't really want to get into laying blame without seeing proof. I think we have both been around long enough to know that these things happen but also that they dont need to.

Hurts like hell mate but getting better slowly, think the seat nipped me but that was probably a good thing.
In hindsight and from what your saying if Id not made such a good start we could all have been caught up in something anyway, and you, and a few others might have had more damage. At least were all here to tell the tale!! |

Hi Colin, I was in the clio a long way back from the action, but by the time we got there, there were cars in the wall on the right, and you on the left. Could see you get clipped, spin, then we got hit in the left side (wheel took the impact with front wing) by the fiesta, which then hit you! Really glad your ok. Couldn't see what started it all, fairly glad we were so slow meaning we avoided most of it. My first ever start in a race, hope there not all like that!

Colin, I cannot say what happen for when you went on the grass I started running toward you, up what must be the only uphill slope at the track.
And with a fire extinguisher. Note to self: Rescue Units carry fire extinguishers and follow the start to Riches. |

Hi Colin,
So glad to hear you are OK, I was shocked when I read this. Your car was one of the very first I scrutineered as a Trainee at Cadwell a few years ago, and always had a joke with you ever since. I wasn't at Snett last weekend, but was asked to help at a Rally at the last minute..... I wish you a speedy recovery, mate and hope to see you at Snett or Cadwell soon.... Steve |
