Irish Formula Libre 2010
Time for a new thread and let's be positive that the worst of the economic crises was 2009 and 2010 will be the start of some improvement.
I see there's a rival BOSS series up and running. Any chance of getting a race to Mondello? They will be looking to swell numbers so Irish Libre should bargain that any support given means a race in Mondello is given in return. I think there's be a certain strength and logic to such an argument. http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=120340 So, what other news is there at this stage? Will there be more or less cars out in 2010? Will some of the absentees or occasional competitors be out more often this year? |

Mondello is only running six dates this year and while the dates are confirmed, the classes out on any given weekend are not. Each class has requested specific dates with a mixture of single and double headers which they may or may not get depending on the popularity of those dates. The final call remains with circuit boss John Morris, as he has to try and make each meeting as economically viable as possible. |

I heard a strange story that Leinster had scrapped the car meeting and plan to run a Kart meeting instead!

No mention of cars on that date though. Not looking good for you ASDS. (Nice to see you take some time out from your new job running F1 to talk to us mere mortals Mr. Burns ) |

Haha, bit of a story behind that! I'll let EP tell it as she'll prob do a better job than me. As for the date the 3/4 July would be correct. As for it being a kart meeting i am 99% sure that is a mistake as i have seen a list of dates for all race meetings this year. |

Driftwood
Dates for your diary: July 3/4 - Leinster Motor Club at Anglesey, Coastal circuit. Irish F.Libre, Historics & others. August 14/15, Phoenix Park - all local classes plus any visitors who fancy the trip. September 11/12, Leinster Trophy - Mondello International. Beer optional, but be careful - EP may be waiting for you. ps: Last year I offered to pay for your beer if you came to Phoenix Park, offer still stands for 2010. |

How strict are you on noise over there in Ireland? I have a 91 Lola F3000 Mugen and am wondering how big an effort needs to be made to try and shut it up? What will you Libre guys with noisy V8's do for Anglesey? Thanks.

At Phoenix Park there is no noise monitor.
Perhaps the boys can give an update re the other 2 circuits. Anyhow, you will be most welcome. |

Ooh! I wonder if that pink Porsche that looks like a pig will be coming?
I hope I'll be going to Anglesey and that I'll see all my Irish friends. |
