Which new Manufacturer would you like to see most in P1
Simple question and not meant to be a rumours thread - but putting logic and likeliness aside, which manufacturers would you most like to see build and race a P1.
Mine would be Maserati |

Maserati or Alfa Romeo would be nice (FIAT group). They do have a good racing heritage and an LMP1 would be great to see. I also hope the Lotus or Kodewa does well. I really want to see Aston Martin back in LMP1 and Nissan/Honda.

I'd love to see Mclaren, Honda, BMW, Mercedes or Renault in LMP1 but strangely I'd quite like to see Subaru. I imagine a 555 liveried LMP car would look pretty awesome.

Well Bentley or Jaguar would be my absolute dream but reality means that perhaps another team from the east with a real investment would be more practical so lets hope they decide to give it a commitment that results in a competative car rather than a half hearted effort

Full Factory teams from Honda, Nissan, Mercedes, BMW. Sadly, Alfa seems a pipe dream, as the Fiat group have put all their Motorsport eggs in the Ferrari F1 basket.
However, whoever joins, let us hope they do it properly – nothing worse than seeing a half baked Motorsport programme. |

As I said in the rumours thread I would literally take ANYONE.
But that said the return of Jaguar would be special I think. The thing that would probably do the most good would be a return of the Ford vs Ferrari rivalry. |

Ferrari gets my vote.
It'll never happen though as long as F1 exists-or in the case of the 333, someone comes a calling to Maranello with a big sack of cash.. |

Ahh, I almost forgot about the Cadillac LMP. Lister would be great to see back with them.

I would also like to see Nissan and Honda go head to head with Toyota - plus BMW vs Audi & Porsche

Any privateer chassis mated to those 2014 F1 engines and showing up those big manufacturer teams.
What we also need is a return of the iconic brands 2014 Lancia-Ferrari LC3? 2014 Sauber-Mercedes C293? |

I don't really have a particular favourite (there aren't any posters on my bedroom walls!) and at the moment any major name would be a welcome addition to P1, so long as it's not a half hearted one-off appearance to celebrate an anniversary of some sort.
Peugeot was a great loss when they pulled out early last year, Italy needs a major representive (Alfa or Maserati?), Japan is becoming more involved lately which is brilliant but the US market is where I probably would've expected more activity in recent years, so that's been something of a disappointment to me. |

Time they came back, then...
I'd love to think Delage could come back. They made such gorgeous, and innovative, cars back in their day... And then there's BENTLEY... Much as I like beating my local drum, I don't see Gaydon signing off a Banbury built P1 for a while! So I'll be happy with Nissan in LMP1, stepping up from P2, and Ford. |
