Winther should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Gibernau won.

Well that was one slippery race, the first couple of laps was horrific, I have never seen a race so slow before.
Hehe Sete was one happy Spaniard

extremely slow and slippery, fell asleep 3 laps from the end .....glad sete won and congrats to him and suzuki.....

heard commentators say during the race that roberts defence of the title was possibly the worst in history - and now his team-mate wins in 2001 before him, keep your head-up kenny

I've never been a real fan of Gibernau, as his performances last year on the Honda and most of his performances on the Suzuki this year have been rather ordinary, but his ride at Valencia last night was superb. The conditions were very tricky, but he kept his head and took a deserved victory.

However, to the Suzuki fans, I wouldn't be getting your hopes up. That performance was not relative the the performance of the Suzuki but rather to tyre choice in the conditions.

I likewise have never given Gibernau much of a thought!
To tell the truth I always thought he was a waste of space! LOL

But I found myself at about lap 3 or 4 wanting Gibernau to win! Seriously I was on the edge of my sit willing Sete to run Rossi and Alex off the road.

It was definately Sete's day, what a ride, well done!

And how much fun was the celebration!!!! I am still laughing about all the flags he planted in the kitty litter and the crappy summersults! LOL

Telefonica MovieStar have a darn good weekend!!
125cc 2nd and 3rd
250cc 1st and 4th
500cc 1st and 3rd
Spainish Team in spain that is enough to warm even the coldest of corporate boxes!

I thought he was going to hurt himself on the victory lap. He looked like he might jump off the motorcycle.

Sete

Yep Sete was certainly pleased with his performance. I've never seen someone so excited, jumping around etc. Good on him.

Glad he beat Roberts. That guy gets on my nerves. Has the same kind of arrogance as little John Kocinski. Urgh.

Just seen it on Eurosport great race altho not quite as pant wetting as the 125's - but didnt he celebrate? fantsatic to see someone so happy in victory!!
What happened to Kocinski? I saw a prog on Roberts sr last week from 1990ish when Kocinski was just comin into the team - did he just fade out? like that Anthony Gobbert bloke - bike racing has a few of those doesnt it - talented but cant apply thenselves.

little johnny wanted to much money from ducati america to race in ama this year, think he finished 7th in ama sbk last year after missing a race or 2, could be yamaha developement rider this year ..... anthony gobert is still winning races in ama , and is itching to get back on the world scene, will have to wait until 2003 - bold prediction, the "go show" will be either 500cc world champ or superbike world champ within 4 or 5 years , gobert years of not applying himself finished 2 or 3 years ago

I must say I've always had a soft spot for Sete, ever since he rode up the front on the twin. It was great to see him win and be so excited about it too

KR-JR can never hold a candle to Kocinski as far as arrogance. Kocinski was a freak.
