Wales rally GB - novice enquiry
Here's a real innocent's question from a track marshal...
Just been looking at sign on times for Cloggie Main, and there's 2 options: 21:00-23:00 and 03:45-04:45. So presumably that means you spend the night in the stage, sleeping in the car if you sign on the previous night? |

what is the 'time on post'?
I haven't been for over 10 years but it used to be that if you had a local b&B and signed on the night before you could get to bed as long as you were where you were supposed to be at the right time. I remember one lovely old lady in Machynlleth (sp) doing a fry-up at 05.30 ! |

If it's the same for marshals as when we compete (not on rally gb though!) then as David says signing on the night before just means you can get up slightly later in the morning. The signing on is basically checking in and putting a scribble on a bit of paper to say it's your own fault if you get hurt. Getting some of the admin guff out of the way the night before an event is always preferable (if you've got somewhere to stay!)
