Hopefully any game comes close to the brilliance of this V8 game

It will lack significant depth compared to what's on offer elsewhere, which have also featured SC content.
They're probably better off increasing their involvement with the Forza series, by offering a greater number of liveries, and assisting with obtaining more tracks for the title. |

They wouldn't do a stand alone game, just license the series out to one of the new or existing games. Plenty to choose from at the moment.

Why involve HN. Purely distribution? They cant write code to save themselves so I hope thats all. If so they better work out how to offer it as an online download. This will rule iRacing out as they are big on licensing small on selling

iRacing would be the perfect partner as they make everything officially licensed and accurate. Some say that their current Supercars aren't quite as accurate as they could be, but this would really ramp it up nicely.
The laser-scanning of the tracks would be a challenge, as would the distribution to include Harvey Norman. Maybe it could be bundled as a separate iRacing server and installer and the license key is sold exclusively through Harvey Norman? To have every Supercars track available with iRacing's laser-scanned precision would be truly magnificent. |

And then what happens to those who already have licensed the Bathurst/PI/Supercar DLC? Can they still play? And will any GT support race or BSS round at Bathurst only be run under this new "game" to reflect the current state of affairs? Also dont forget iRacing is aaimed at the enthusiast, not the arcade 10 second attention span that they would likely be going for with this thought bubble. Wont happen as this proposal with iRacing. It will be on another platform or just an updated extension to the current arrangement iRacing has with VASC Last edited by Axeman444; 14 Jun 2017 at 06:21. |

It will be Gran Turismo or Forza, I guess.

Hopefully they can build on the Assetto Corsa franchise. A multi platform game would be more likely than Gran Turismo or Forza.

So I assume at this point we're just looking at a licensing of a handful of liveries and maybe 1 or more tracks to Forza at this point? Hopefully one day we can get a full Supercars game again

I hear they are looking at doing a career/championship style game. Maybe Forza platform with better damage physics that sort of thing. Or work on the Grid platform by Codemasters to make it V8s. No way is it going to iracing, they have supposedly said they have no further real interest in V8s

It'd be unlikely to be a whole game based around a single championship
Outside of the likes of F1, games like the original TOCA are not viable these days. They need to be combination type games, like the later "Race Driver" games and current DIRT games are to be viable. |

Even the V8 Supercars titles that Codemasters did, were effectively a re-skin, to suit our market.
Was branded as Toca Race Driver, and DTM Race Driver, etc in other marktets. |

This will be the only way it will work, rebadging the same game from a different market, as long as it has Supercar content like the 2nd edition of TOCA with career paths, OR, via iRacing, but doubt very much that will happen with a middleman like Uncle Gerry involved
