I believe this was the most interesting race I've watched since... 2004? 2005? Anyway, since they started to change the rules every season for the reason, and I quote Maximillian Rufus Mosley (anyone remember him?), to increase the entertainment. I voted a solid 7.

Thoroughly entertaining and intriguing. However, I was disappointed that we were denied the on track battle between Hamilton and Verstappen, especially after what happened in the British GP. It was also a shame both Leclerc and Norris were knocked out of contention, particularly Norris, who got up to third before Bottas booted him up the rear and into Verstappen. 8

Best race I’ve seen since Canada 2011. I give it a nine.

9. Perhaps more interesting then exciting. Ham vs Alonso was great.

Can we go negative? Race itself ok but you wouldn't know Ocon was leading much at all. Could have done without Lewis crying on the radio cause Alonso knows the regs like a lawyer and can make his car barge wide and square. But the attempts to keep LH behind were probably the best action of the day. Thankfully MB are so reliant on the computers or they would have called him in at the restart and Lewis would have lapped the field. Max's car must have been trashed, he couldn't make it stick at all.
However the FIA have made a farce of the race. Action on track meh, only improved because Latifi was a rolling roadblock that allowed the undercut to work so well early. After the race, well that's a whole other show and frankly the FIA look like cantankerous old white guys and crying. Can't believe the insanity they think improves the racing purity. Doubt I'll watch any more this season and hope Lewis and Max come down to the last event and Bottas returns the favor and hits Lewis. |

Honestly dont understand any of what the above post is all about.
Hungary used to be - by far- the worst race on the season. This was probably the best. 9 from me. Action throughout. Passes were not easy and had to be really worked for, which was exciting to see. Great to see a new winner too. |

9.5/10. The first corner carnage and the subsequent restart were absolutely crazy but led to a great race.

9 for me. Massively entertaining and worth that score for Alonso alone. But docked 1 for Lando being taken out when he could easily have finished on the podium.
Yes, yes, I know, we didn't get a battle between Max and Lewis.... but after that, who cares. |

The purist in me says 8. But for sheer entertainment it was a TEN.

Yeah I'm giving it the perfect 10.
Great wheel to wheel racing, unheralded drivers getting their chances to shine - Ocon, Mick, Latifi to name just three. The old boys showed some real fight. And a new winner. Amazing stuff. |

Only sour taste is Vettel’s disqualification. |

It was a good race to watch but not a great race as far too many of the circulating cars were wounded and Hamilton was really the only healthy front-runner left in the race.
The difficulty in overtaking at the circuit certainly lifted the entertainment level, however the difference in car performance between the Mercedes and the remaining midfield or wounded runners only delayed the inevitable. Alonso was the highlight. |

This race was actually really, really exciting. Who would have thought that for Hungary?
I had missed Vettel's disqualification, and that's the kind of mistake that team needs to be on top of. Sloppy. Sad for Seb, but those are the rules. I would probably have been even happier with this race is if it hadn't been a disaster for McLaren! After the first few laps I was ash grey in the face. Everything had fallen apart. RBR I couldn't care less about, but Lando being taken out like that!!? But, it changed. Some marvellous driving by Sainz, Alsono, Hamilton and fantastic delivery by Williams finally! I will give this a 9 for entertainment value. |

1 for the rain 1 for the bingle on lap 1 1 for RBR gaffer taping Verstappen's car back together 1 for Alonso's defending (was he driving the BMW GT for a while there?) 1 for Seb's shirt 1 for each Williams in the points 1 for Hamilton's lonely start 1 because a mate of mine is back as a truckie at Williams and is obviously a lucky charm 10! |
