that's a 3,5 litre Group C not a LM-GTP

I voted for the Toyota GT-ONE. I also like the Bentley.

Why isn't Mercedes CLK-LM on the list? That car was better looking than the CLR.

I'm with you on this one the GT-One is by far the best looking, but if you wanted to talk about overall cars then my vote would between the 905, Mazda or the Bugatti EB110 from 94.

Only speaking about the years I have actually been at LM ('90 straight thru to '01 so far!!)

i love the clr, its a shame they set it up incorrectly, could have proven to be a great car. i have a thing for mercedes race cars, maybe you can tell by my screen name, sounded great too, better than the panoz imo. 99 was a bitter sweet year for sports car racing.

anyways i think the toyota gt-one and ts010(sorry, i know its a group c car) were very pretty aswell.

id like to see a grid full of gtps some day.

I've probably bored everyone to tears already with my comments about the glorious GT One. But like clk-lm, I also liked the TS010 - a much better looking car than the Peugeot of the same period.

Perhaps the C-11 may have had the most purposeful shape of all. And the 1991 905 was just soooooo spaceship. Interesting how many different looks we get. Am I the only one who loves the Audi R8C?

I voted for the Toyota. I thought it was so good at the time it made me want a Japanese manufacturer to win Le Mans! Madness!

Not surprisingly I also love the look of the Bentley, and it's green too!

They are all pretty good. Sportscars with roofs are great! Especially really quick ones!

My vote has gone to the Toytoa GT-One, the Bentley however is also a stunner.
Would a Toytoa be as quick as a the current crop of LMP's?

of the cars in the list I love the Bauhaus look to the Audi R8C, but my favorite was the Mazda 787B winner with the outlandish green and orange paint scheme.

I thought the Panoz GTR-1 was a great-looking car, as was the Porsche GT1-98.

No Doc, I liked it too - although it looked just a tad too long to me.....

I also liked the Mazda 787 - that Charge/Renown colour-scheme had something about it - the normal white/blue Mazda looked quite dull by comparison!

Here is something to consider. The fastest laps of the previous 24 hour and Sebring 12 hour race weekends were turned by a Nissan group C historic racer.

Why did Toyota call their car GT-one if it was a GTP car? A bit daft really. I like but...

I believe in 1998, the Toyota raced in what was then called GT-1, thus the name. Then in 1999, the classes were re-named and the former GT-1 cars now ran as GTP's. I think that is right, but cybersdorf will know for sure.
