Lee Purnell should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Who saw this in Autosport?

"Peugeot sport would like to thank those fellow competitors in the Silverstone insurance National Saloon Championship that continued to complain to the BRDC about the speed of our Peugeot 306GTI6 race cars.

The new permanent addition of 40kgs weight that you instigated, on top of the 30kgs success ballest that Dan Eaves carried at the weekend gave us just the right weight distribution to get another win and fastest lap.

I am very disappointed with Bowman Motorsport for not being able to find this new development without your thoughtfull assistance.

Rest assured I will make certain that Bowman take full advantage of the additional 10kgs that Dan gets for winning at Donington (80kgs in total), when we are at Croft in three weeks time.

Any additional thoughts you may have that could improve our performance would be greatly appreciated.

Mick Linford
Motorsport Manager
Peugeot Motor Company Plc."

How cool is that?
A full two page spread in Autosport. Great idea for taking the PI** no?

The Pugs rule, and anyone who disagrees (Danielsun) is a pillock! Characters ? I wouldn't be at all surprised if Vic Lee (Bowman boss) booked that ad without telling Mick Linford anything about it...

It is rather Vic Lee stylee isn't it? I remember his exploits from the early 90's and late 80's touring cars.
