Domenech Racing PR
Wild race Today the luck of when CART decides that this race has to end gave Patrick 2nd place, which was good enough to climb up to 19th in the standings. Vasser brought it home in 12th, after all his first start shenanigans that included his big 'un. (but not as big as Takagi's) Poor Oriol suffered the most unlikely failure... It was pouring down and the damn Toyota engine (50 grand fine here) cooks itself. Fire and water. Dan Abnormal CEO of scribing |

Team of Audacious Brazilians Mrs. Fields Pies Crayola Press Release
Surfers Paradise Australia -- Next time we'll bring the cars with the pontoons. Not much to say about this Wacky Race except to say that a number of things were discussed with Mr. Junqueira after the race, including the fact that yelling for the race to be stopped while he is in the lead doesn't do a bit of good unless it's already been called an official race. We have sent him back to read Prost's autobiography in this regard. We are pleased that our drivers all finished the race and that none were involved in the Big Accident; and we send our best wishes for a speedy recovery to both Tora Takagi and Adrian Fernandez, and also suggest to Mr. Fernandez that he think carefully about whether he wishes to chuck the racing and become an Owner where he will be less likely to be in harm's way. As we are not speaking to Mr. Kanaan, we have nothing to say to him, but we would like to remark that hysteria is not a pretty sight in a race car driver. Maple City Racing is unable to issue a press release due to the rainy conditions. Within minutes after we finally got the race started, we left a few guys behind to look after the pits while the rest of us went back to the pub to help Memo find the keys that he'd lost the night before.
Seems we didn't miss much, and at least we stayed dry. Did I mention that our fuelman puked on a stripper? Well... that's another story. |

PRESS RELEASE
28/10/02 DBR Have No Idea Er, can't very well call this a RACE report as there was no real racing to speak of. Patrick inherited second place, da Matta did lead but fell back to 8th while Michel, who thankfully survived the first-lap melee unhurt, finished 10th. DBR would like to announce their complete confusion at the way the event was run yesterday, and are of the belief that the race should have been abandoned after lap 12, when the pace car came out the second time. However, we are only participants and do not run the series, so we'll just hold our own opinion. We look forward to Fontana in a week. And stay the hell away rain!! Sumjurc Ramdmicar Press Officer |

Hesketh Racing Press Release - slightly damp
Having attended the Honda Indy 300, I can honestly say "blub blub blub". I was drenched head to foot, attested to by Crash Test. But this round win makes this season all worth it - well, except if I'd have been able to win the championship again but with the way this season has gone, I now feel like Mario Dominguez A very strange race but, as they say, a win is a win. Thankfully the drivers are not seriously injured. elephino |

Maple City Racing is, in a way, happy to announce that Mad Max Papis has once again entered our fold for Fontana. When we originally signed our good friend Adrian to a contract, it was in the belief that he would excel on the twisties and deliver a championship. Well, he tried. But for this upcoming event at a supertrack, we couldn't think of anybody we'd rather have to pilot our car to victory lane.
Actually, that's a lie. We tried to sign Danica Patrick, but she steadfastly refused to wear the uniform we were providing for her. |

PINEAPPLE RACING FINED $100,000
Pineapple Racing's clothes are still in the dryer after a very moist Honda Indy 300. It was so cold that Oriol Servia's car's anti-freezing device went off. This device occurs on the rare occasion that the car might be too cold. The device remedies this situation, by having the car errupt into a ball of flames. Unfortunately, for some reason, this device does not conform to CART safety standards, and Pineapple were subsequently fined $100,000. Pineapple Racing are currently investigating new brands of anti-freezing device. Pineapple Racing can thank Alex Tagliani for one of their higher placed finishes of the year. "After the first accident, I had to run back to the pits and change my undies, as the accident had caused me to have an accident of my own," said Tags. "Then I jumped in the spare car. I was lucky that we only had to tool around behind the safety car, because I could not have gone any faster, as I was still hungover from partying since the Miami race. So it worked out well for us." Pineapple Racing are looking forward to the 500 miler at Fontana. P. Dribbler Chief Media Liason Officer Pineapple Racing Last edited by mac; 30 Oct 2002 at 22:43. |
