I think doying 2 race projects (with this cabrio and D12) is a stupid idea, especially for a small factory like Spyker.

BTW Nice car.

Racing a cabrio in the ALMS is'nt as stupid as you might think, becuase that would mean racing it in front of the target audience.

I wondered about that as well- there was a thread a couple of weeks ago about the new car with a link to the Spyker website, and I was puzzled that the only pics I could find then showed the cabrio- presumably they'd have to put a roof on it?

It's not that so much as a quesiotn of are open-topped cars allowed in GTS or GT? Anyone out there able to quote the relevant bits of regulations to solve this one?

slicktsax has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
well u see if the car is a convertible then they are allowed to put a hardtop on it. llok at teh morgon and panoz esperante, those two cars are convertibles but tehy were allowed to run hardtops for safety purposes. and it would be cool to see a turbocharged GTS car again and it is a neat looking car

yes, look at the Hypersport team in the ALMS they are racing the Panoz Esperante and the road version is an open top car. the race version just has a hardtop bolted on to it. and they aren't an official factory team, they are just getting some help with the development

I think both. A tintop has also a stiffer chassis.

But still I think it's a bad idea to develop 2 different GT's.
