Better the title be decided on the track - nobody wants things decided in the courtroom.

Boy oh boy...are critics hard to please. When Todt says maybe Ferrari will protest results... the critics go crazy and threw anything vulgar they could at Ferrari...when Luca says Ferrari will not protest results... the critics start to get sarcastic...
I don't see anything wrong with Ferrari's way of handling this issue. They brought up a concern to the FIA and the FIA acted. The procedure was proper, and other teams did the same to Ferrari at Monaco. The only bad thing is it blew way out of proportion after that with Michelins teams start complaining about Ferrari's behavoir and a slagging match began, which threatens to ruin the championship. Did anybody feel sorry for Ferrari when Mclaren tried to win 1999 WDC by trying to get Ferrari 1-2 at Malaysia disqualified? No...the critics were happy to jump of the bandwagon. Now that they are on the receiving end of the treatment...the heat gets into them.sigh |

Could we possibly combine all the Ferrari bashing threads into one? I have seen a lot of other threads closed for seriously less levels of team/driver/person bashing, I find it hard to believe that all these threads stay open but for the personal bias (doubtfully intentional however, everybody to some level will help their personal opinion) of the Moderators.

There aren't that many Ferrari bashing thread at the moment anyway. A few remarks here and there, but if these are taken up rather than ignored, the thread is asked to be put back on topic. If you are refering to the tyre threads. I think there is as much Michelin team bashing as Ferrari. Most have taken different aspects of the problem so they have been kept separate, but there has been a lot of merging. I do accept that the tone of the thread was far from ideal. However hopefully a change of title will help. Quote:
I was going to PM you with this, but a general post might be an idea. Anyway anyone please feel free to PM any of the mods about this matter. Now back on topic... Last edited by Adam43; 25 Sep 2003 at 08:36. |

Now for my personal opinion on it.
I am glad that there will be no apeals. It is good for the sport. Additionally I am not sure how successful it would have been. |
