Talladega recap chat!

Well, it's Monday-which means it's chat time.

Upset about DEI winning another restrictor plate race? Want to discuss Elliot Sadler's accident? Talk about it here, here, or here!

That chat starts now!
See you there, and remember-new chatters are always welcome!

Actually, for an RP race I thought it was a pretty good race,I'd rate it a 6 out of perfect 10,about as high as any RP race rates with Me!
I did like seeing Jeff Gordon leading the most laps(47) and got a Top 5,His 170th career Top 5!
Perhaps that 1/32" bigger holes in theplates helped,of course the 3/4" taller spoilers created drag that took almost as much HP away as the bigger holes gave HP to the engines, but the better throttle response available to drivers did seem to help somewhat with passing IMO.
I was also glad to not see the big one,6 car accident was sort of tame for Talladega!

Kind of perfect then....close racing...passing, a little big one for the crash fans, but not big enough to ruin the race, an AMAZING ending with that car flying as high as it did, but the driver fine....something for everyone....

Who's to bet NASCAR start fiddling with the rules again before Daytona?

It was a decent race. Boy, Sadler's car really took off. A really really unpleasant crash. The last few laps of restrictor races are always likely to produce huge accidents because everybody is moving around looking for space and the cars are blocking and weaving. Once you touch another car at 190mph you are in for a huge scary ride!
