Special edition Astras?
has anyone heard about those 100 Special Edition Astras that Vauxhall was prepping for sale? I don't know how they will be made available to the public? They are Astras with a bodykit, sport seats, some fancy stickers/plaques. The mods are done by Triple 8 engineering?

yep ive heard of them.
Theres going to be 100 Astra Coupe Turbo 888's with
17inch alloys, wide arch kit, DTM style rear wing, and front splitter, Sparco seats, alcantara trim, colour coded dash all for £20,995 (in UK).

I guess if anyone wants one they have to rush to their local Vauxhall dealer ASAP.

Sounds like an HSV makeover of same.

Weapon of a car though in standard form. I wonder if they have considered AWD?

There going to be sold along with the new Monaro from Holdon and the Vx 220 as part of Vauxhalls new sports branch Vx, Specialist dealers only i believe, not sure where these specialists are though, certainly not in Grantham, we'd be lucky if they had more than 5 cars on their poxy forecourt , and none that are under 6 grand.

i thought they had all been sold by now, i remember seeing one at a vauxhall dealer a couple of years ago. theyre probably changing hands through private sales now.

I didnt see this thread was started 2 years ago.

Its not the astras then, but Vx are running a new sports derived division for road cars.

Copying the HSV concept in Australia, where selected dealers are allowed to sell up-specced Holdens at highly inflated prices in special parts of the dealerships...

If this was started two years ago, is it no the Astra Coupe BTCC replcia we're on about. I guy I know had one. At the end of the day, you've got to say 'it's only a Vauxhall'. For £20K you could get something better. Saying that, I drive an Astra as well.
