What about Hot Rod Birley? He's gotta make the list. What I wanna do - I think. Is get a whole list of club legends and then have a vote for the top ten.

How about Colin Stancombe? (or the pink hatted pair of Mechanics he used to use)

Did the reminder for Brian come from my reply on Formula Woman earlier today? How about Tom Dooley - 50 years at the helm of BRSCC NW, or Don Truman from the Midlands Centre? As for drivers, Rick Morris - the best FF1600 driver to never move higher. Rick could have cut in in Grand Prix. And back to people with an organisational bent, how about my good self? OK, maybe not the last part. |

Drivers,
Barrie "Whizzo" Williams gets my vote along with Gerry Marshall for navigating via the side windows. Peter Baldwin - the mini-benchmark for oh so many years. John Cleland - for the days behind the wheel of the Carlton in Thundersaloons. Lord Chris Fulke Greville - how many events can you do in a year! Chris probably does more in any one year than many people do in a lifetime! Martin Short - Made it at last! From the Martlett, to the new Dallara/Judd, on the ball, on the pace, and a hard grafter. Worked hard for everything he's got. Nearly men - Michael Vergers - He WILL win the Formula Ford festival... one day. A thorough all rounder. John Pratt - blindingly fast, just didn't have the budget to back him up. Now teaches others how to go faster. Officials - If I must, it has to be Don "And Formula Ford - Don't do it today" Truman. Rob. |

Perhaps those in the list who have been professionals at some stage in their careers could be eliminated.
