Now established as one of the biggest of the years historics meetings - this years theme being the Chevron Anniversay.

Looks a nicely full timetable with plenty of good races, should be good racing - who else is going?

Will be there on the Monday with the Lotus 17. BRDC and Gentleman Drivers races. Hope to break the 2 min barrier.......

If we can fix the Cooper (problem at Brands put me out of the race) I will be there. Oulton Park is a great circuit and the Gold Cup a great event. The Formula Junior grid is full so should be an exciting race. The Silverstone Classic was just that with a gnat's cock separating 1st and 2nd. The overall entry is impressive and I am looking forward to seeing so many Chevrons. I have to say that we have an array of high quality historic meetings what with the SuperPrix at Brands, the Silverstone Classic, Goodwood, the Gold Cup at Oulton Park and the VSCC's See Red at Donington which also features modern cars of the red hue.

Me and little Bro in FF race in the Merlyns , Dad in the Birdcage and B8 ,Big bro in his B16 only seeing as some berk smashed his E type up @ the Ring !!

I might get one of the 2 race's in the B8 as it's straight after the Birdcage race on Monday (fingers crossed)

Dad and I finished the car last night so will be there... I aim to go up on Friday. It is important that historic motorsport gets to tracks in the North (so much is focussed on the South). The Gold Cup, like the VSCC meeting at Oulton Park that takes place earlier in the season, deserve good support from spectators and competitors, alike. In advance I would like to thank the organisers and especially the marshalls who help us get the show on the road. JP is doing a good job promoting our type of racing and long may it continue.

T'was a terrific event - I'm glad I went.
Looking at the amount of cars coming into the main entrance on Monday, it was a well attended meeting.

Thanks to the drivers for giving us marshals a truly amazing event to work at!
