First race is also tomorrow.
Someone I know is extremely confident that Peter Dempsey will sweep all before him. |

Good race today.
Nathan Freke got his head down and got a good lead but Peter Dempsey tracked him down relentlessly, having run as low as sixth, and passed on the last lap. Very impressive indeed. Nick Tandy also impressed after starting sixth, following crashing in qualifying, and finishing in a very strong third. In the Zetec classes, Stu Gough dominated totally in the elderly RF99 and despite a quite serious misfire in the race he finished 9th, almost 1.5s a lap quicker than the next quickest Zetec and in front of quite a few of the much quicker Duratecs. Equally impressive. Last edited by JohnMiller; 15 Apr 2006 at 20:47. |

I thought it was an excellent race yesterday, helped by the fact that Peter Dempsey got off to a poor start...if he'd made it into the lead from pole on the first lap I'm not sure it would have been quite as exciting!
He looks very strong though compared to the opposition, do we think it's going to be a Dempsey white wash or can anybody see somebody else coming in to chalenge him? Nathan Freeke impressed me in the Mygale but even he was nowhere near the pace of Dempsey which was proved with how quickly Dempsey closed him down after being more than 3 seconds behind at one point. |

Best drive in my opinion was from Nick Tandy in the Ray, scoring a 3rd and 4th. Nick didnt do 1 proper full day of testing (most drivers have done between 5-30 days already) in a duratec ford before the opening weekend and still managed fastest lap in race 2. Nick should be the one to watch at Donington and throughout the rest of the season in my opinion.
