It`s more of an AOWR story. But this Atherton guy..he is a real player...in bed with both Tony George and Kevin Kalkoven.
Ultimately it may be the glue that puts single seater racing back together in the U.S..hopefully with a single Panoz chassis. One thing I like about sports cars is that they shine on endurance events...having these sprint races increasingly is a necessary evil I suppose. Made for network TV. |

The story discusses why the combined events might make sense, which has been a big topic for ALMS fans.
A couple of errors in the article. 1./ Forgot about the combined IRL/ALMS event at St. Pete's. 2./ ACO/IMSA agreement prevents 24 hour races. As far as a merger... I think you can forget about that for the next few years. |
