Britek Team Launch today.

Hi Guys,

I know its nearly time, but there will be a live feed of the Britek launch today at 4:00pm AEDT at Yahoo7.

Head over to www.fujitsuracing.com.au for the details.

I can't wait to see the #25 car.

Cheers
Steve

Looks ok, they've pretty much just reversed the old colour scheme

The Irwin car pretty much looks like the drawing shown here a few weeks ago, red, dark blue (darker than on the Fujitsu car), and yellow. Is it interesting that the Irwin car was the real deal whilst the Fujitsu car was a show car?

The covers are off! Fujitsu on blue this year, not red. CAT not particularly prominent.

Well I have no idea... the Yahoo7 site states "Motorsport fans from around the world will be able to watch the launch by clicking onto www.yahoo7.com.au and following the links."

Links, what stinking links? there is about 2,020,541 links on the front page, what a mess. Can't spot anything obvious.

lol - gets to the bit just before they full the covers and the clip ends and drops you into the 16:30 news. I hope this is more "yahoo" than "7"

I'm going to watch the cricket and football.

The link worked all the way through for me.

Jasons car is a road car by the looks, not much cat signage visible either.

Good luck to the team!!

The blue on Bright's car is called 'Bionic' and is the same blue used on the road cars

They arent very pretty.... compared to the impact of the first Fujitsu car in 2005, these two are not quit as good

The logos dont seem to fit the spaces they take up, there is no 'highlighting' and 'separation' of colours and brands.. indeed one or two logos arent as they appear on their company websites.

I am sure the punters and #7 will love them

Not great design work there. Too many elements that don't flow.

I didn't get to watch the launch live but I've gone onto Yahoo7 to watch it twice now and it has cut out on me twice just as they where about to unveil the cars, just starts to run another story.

For channel seven to be the broadcaster I think they are doing a poor job already, I haven't seen any footage on any of the launches to date, last night they did run a quick bit on Richo and Frosty in a couple of old Warbirds on the Coast, but nothing on the Britek launch.

They look poo! As a Graphic Designer I can tell you that it's a terrible layout. Only IRWIN Tools is getting a fair-go. No other sponsor on either car really stands out. They really skimped in the desgin department.

To me, a racing car is supposed to look tough. It's supposed to frighten the hell out of you as it approaches in the rear-view mirror. And lastly, it's supposed to look like it can win the race without even moving!

To that end, BRITEK's 2007 Livery is an absolute disgrace! Whoever's in charge - hang your head in shame...

The preferred option for launching a livery these days tends to be via a showcar, as this means minimal disruption to the process of preparing the actual race cars for Adelaide. Hence, the Fujitsu car is a show car.

Perhaps there is no Irwin showcar at this stage due to the nature of the deal.................. It would be a bit silly to sticker up a race car AND a show car for a sponsor that only has a deal in place for one round. It is notable that Mr Gurr's shirt hasn't had a lot of design effort put into it either. The (at this stage) one round and one round only deal is rumoured to apply to the driver also, so this may be another reason why they haven't given him a fancy Irwin Racing team shirt yet.
