Delétraz still chasing his former car, but finally a decent result. He has disappointed so far, he didn't do too bad in Formula Renault 2.0 and FR3.5 in the last 2 years. Then again, Racing Engineering has generally disappointed as a hole. Is that team or driver(s) or both? |

This is the lowest Leclerc has qualified all year i think? Neither Prema nor DAMS have fared too well today. Should be a cracker tomorrow! We know Rowland is very combative in the opening laps but he'll need to temper that a bit to keep the tyres in good nick. Markelov could do very well out of this from 4th. |

Nice to see Merhi up at the sharp end again, hopefully his DRS will work this weekend.

Well since Leclerc has been fastest in qualifying at every round this year, then I'd say yep this is his worst qualifying so far. I was hoping he'd do the sweep and take every pole, only 3 rounds left to do it. Although he got the DQ in one, he was still fastest. But this quali sounds like there were a couple of red flags right at important times so I think that's why the grid is so mixed up.
Could be a good race, I'd expect the title contenders, plus Latifi and Ghiotto to come through. Ghiotto down a bit after it was RT 1-2 in practise. Rapax will probably go backwards. |

Leclerc didn't get the lap together but he didn't look as quick as Matsushita. Rowland was complaining of understeer everywhere

Exciting race because of the wet track. If it was dry I think we'd need DRS.
Fuoco an undeserving win to be honest. Poor Rowland did nothing wrong but DNFs. Leclerc gotta feel for him as well, absolutely nothing wrong and appeared to be driving a very careful race trying not to get into a collision, yet still gets put into the wall. Runs wide by the time he gives the position back De Vries has dropped to 2nd. In hindsight he should have just taken off and copped a 5sec penalty. Probably still would have won with the way the guys behind were fighting. De Vries great job for most of the race but just didn't want to concede. I wish we got that last lap, De Vries or Leclerc may have closed in on Ghiotto. Who else, oh Mehri fast but does he have no understanding of the rules around track limits? If he's going to keep doing it, accumulate his penalties 5sec, 10sec, 15sec. What about that move re-passing Rowland around the outside, awesome. Matsushita went off on that last lap and did an unsafe rejoin nearly collecting Leclerc. Lucky to get away with that. Then poor old Ghiotto. It looked like he was going to give the position back but didn't get the chance. Can't wait for race 2 with De Vries, Rowland, Leclerc at the back. Ghiotto could repeat. |

Excellent race, Ghiotto, pleased for him after yesterday, Merhi, fantastic drive, more than deserves a full time seat here, the scraps in mid pack were top drawer.
