Hunagainan GP: Boring.... NOT THIS YEAR!!!!
This is the first time for years that I'm actually looking forward to those 77 laps of the Hungaroring...
With Alesi back at a potential podium finishing team, the 2001 Hungarian has the potential to be the best ever. If anyone can make F1 more exciting, it's Jean - and I'm just hoping that he puts in a few good performances and resigns for Jordan next year alongside Takuma Sato. And with Frentzen racing for Prost GP, I wonder what would happen if he's about to be lapped by a Jordan - He'll make it as difficult as possible, I'm sure. It's also about time we had another wet race - I mean the Hungaroring is well overdue a spell of bad weather over the Grand Prix weekend. Lets look forward to an incident packed Grand Prix... Incident packed? Hungary? Not likely.
If I were you, I wouldn't expect a driver swap to suddenly liven up the Hungarian GP! |

I agree with Ralf's Girl here. The Hungaroring is boring even by todays standards and i wouldn't be surprised to see it dropped for the Russian race.

Although it is good if something like 1997 happens!!! Maybe we'll see Fernando Alonso storming from 3rd on the grid to take his maiden win!!

My prediction is for Jean to DNF. I hope he doesn't but with no testing etc before the race, and Jordan not having the most reliable package this year I feel there is a good chance of the above happening.Should help to brighten up a dull race anyway. And I alkso wouldn't be suprised top see a brilliant drive from 57 varieties

Hmm, the Hungarian GP has been a sleeping-pill replacement pretty much every year it's been held, so I can't see it changing this year.
As for Jean, I agree with AJ. A DNF, and a low qualifying position. Sure, Jean is well and truly capable, but I can not imagine he will just jump into a moderate car he's never driven before and succed. And don't expect his perfect record of race finishes to continue either. I certainly hope Jean does well, but it's going to take time. |
