Im a Holden fan.
So a serious question here. Do you think Skaife and HRT will have a better 05 compared to 04 ? can mark get out of the way of spinning cars , can he stop hitting things he really shouldnt hit ? I hope so to a degree , I dont want HRT to dominate but such a good team had a shocker in 04 , I hope 05 is better for them. so if they go the way they went in 04 , who would be the top Holden team in 05 ? PWR ? ex KMart racing ? Rogers motorsport ? it will be interesting to see ?? |

With all the changes, I can't see any Holden team seriosuly stepping up to the plate this year. I think HRT will be the best chance.
PWR will be running the new engines this year together will full blueprint chassis so will have to get there heads around this. CPR - who knows if they will even front up at the moment, but last year there main car wasn't a consistant top three runner so more development required. Kelly - Similar situation to PWR, is either R Kelly/Tander good at chassis development though? will they have a decent budget? GRM - Just arn't fast enough even though an early adopter of full VY spec chassis. So HRT are the most stable Holden team and have shown they have quick full spec VY's that just need consistancy as a race package and Skaife will hopefully drive more consistantly. |

Honestly looking at the changes to teams & drivers I'd say overall Holden look weaker at the start of this year then they have for a long time but it only takes one to become champion I guess.

PWR/SCAR start the season with the 18 degree Chev then switch to Perkins Aurora engines according to AA. Depends on how HRT start off the year. If HRT get a good start and score good points, then even if PWR do well, then there is the new engine coming on board which could well take some adjustment period before they find their feet. But seeing how fast PWR have become a major player at a big table, maybe don't count on it. The points system is the key-all the drivers are referring to it- any slip costs a lot. Murphy has everything he needs on paper, coming team, good funding, No1 status, engineers who he knows well, top shelf driver bar none. Skaife also has the goods, technical finesse and sorting nous, unrivalled speed really, top level team with "sorted" staff and good resources. All against Ambrose, Ingall and SBR...

Holden will win when they get a few more Ford parts, they already use a Ford front suspension and an engine that is a coppy of the windsor.
Don't anyone give me any **** about Holdens dominating before project blueprint. This only occured as a result of Holden Being overcompensated with a better wing package to offset Chevs **** week engine and Holdens inferior Macpherson strut suspension. |

Sorry guys, but its going to be another year of misery and disapointment for the Holden brigade,Ford should have the championship sewn up by mid season and I'm predicting a massive Fordwash at Bathurst,at least the first 6 places.

Let's be honest:
How many people will credit Holden when they STILL haven't got their chasis and engine combo's sorted after 2 YEARS of allowable integration time frame. All we're going to see is another year of free test days for them to sort out their engine/suspension/chasis/supply issues. It a shame, a farce and a disgrace! |

In response to rdmdod. What about the original aero package that suited the AU Falcon that wasn't allowed in the name of parity, and how Ford had bugger all time to develop an alternative package instead.
Look at the Konica series now that the AU has been allowed a decent aero package, there's barely a holden in sight. Remember when this series started in 93 before the parity review commitee interfered, The Falcons trounced the commodores and boy did the holden teams whinge. |

If it is true that the old 'Chev' engine is still elligible and i hear TC or any of his cronies whingeing about inconsistancies, i'm going to scream. IMHO if you have an organization that is inconsistant and in a shambles all those around or associated with them will be the same.

I meant Chev 18degree-as used still in some V8 Supercar Commodore s(Not Holden doh!-Larry was the last to use that one!)
PROJECT BLUEPRINT should now in season 2005 be fully implemented -no exceptions-years have passed since it was rubberstamped |
